It turns out that my brand new camera is some how not working with my notebook. I am working on that one. So in the mean time I went and purchased a one dollar card reader and now I am in business. The business of uploading pictures that is. The blog is just not the same with out it. I will tell my story with more pictures and not so many words this blog.
Here I am at the Farmers market in Cubao city which is outside Manila. What ever type of fruit or vegetable you can imagine is here(that is grown on this side of the planet that is). Yes, I am fondling the maters.
A sky view of the Meat Market. Any kind of meat you want from Goat to Ox tail and its all unrefrigerated for your stomach's enjoyment.
mmmmmmmmmmmm
I got some of these for lunch. Right next door to the farmers market there is a restaurant that will cook what ever you bring from the market how ever you want it done. I can't wait to go back there some time it was delightful.
When I got my camera out to take pictures all the workers wanted me to take their picture. They were yelling at me from across the place yelling "picture, picture".

I almost got some
aww yes lunch is here.
On the way to puerto Patrick and I had to kill some time. With a couple hundred on lookers behind me no one ever said any thing to us. Arrogant Americans, I say.
Welcome to Puerto Princesa the cleanest island of the Philippines.
This is a Spicy Squid dish on a sizzling platter. This thing was putting off so much smoke/steam when they put it down on the table everyone immediately starting coughing and gagging. I would believe that it was similar to having pepper spray in your face. We all starting to feel sorry for the poor sap that made this back in the kitchen.

They even enjoy moto racing in the Philippines.
4 Canadians and Me. Make note of the one in red. Let call him "red man who is going to have a bad day"
These are red man's feet covered in Filipino Poo.
Red Man walked off the board into the poo due to the lack of light and the misguiding Tanduay Rum. That is Shannon (Patrick's GF) looking for Red Man's shoes. Approximently 20 seconds after this pictures Shannon lost here dinner due to the poo scent.
Red Man looks for his shoes with no luck. Perhaps next time.
Time to go to Sabang by Motorbike. I talked my way down to 600 pesos for the 200cc bike for one day. Big Pimpin'
A quick stop over at the rest house which had drinks but did not sell them.
A little monkey man who also liked the poo.
Playing with the camera in the ocean in Sabang
On my way to the underground river with the loaded boat motor you could ever imagine. I think I could put my ear up to a maxed out speaker and it could not be half as bad as the noise that the boat motor made. My ears are still ringing and I can't Answer.
I made it to the Underground River.
My new lizard friend.
In to the under ground river.
Out of the underground river. I know, I know its cool.
The lets kick Nick's ass hike started here.
The trail only marked by red paint on a tree every 100 ft made for a memorable journy.
This is how they sell gasoline in the small town outside cities. One liter coke bottles at a time. Just hope you dont have to fill up your car. 70 Pesos a Liter here.
Today I got some street vendor Pansit. Surprisingly delicious and I will be getting more tomorrow since it only costs 15 pesos. Tommy's has nothing on these street vendors.
I will put another blog posting up asap. I hope everyone stays tuned for my Olmypic entries. I will be getting to China on Aug 14 and will be there until the 24th.

I'm glad to see you out there enjoying life. I am looking at the bare walls of my cubicle waiting to start the hell that is law school. What am I doing?
Alright there are a few things that i need to comment on
1) Do i need to send you a seafood watch card so that you can make ethical fish purchases for you meals
2) Red Shirt Guy needs to get checked for multiple diseases after that adventure
3) I am glad that moto gp is literally world renown and that you got to drive bikes all over i am sure you were popping wheelies and making all the Filipino girls coo with excitement
4) After that hike i think you can run a marathon and not break a sweat
5) That pansit is nothing compared to pops ( only i am a little jealous that is came in a bag)
6) I love you and miss you glad you are having so much fun!
Hola Nick! You are quite the adventurous guy there! I would not be able to deal with the fish market or the poo. ha ha. That river and the hike looked cool though. Enjoy yourself and we'll have that "competition" muy pronto!
Allison
Quite the adventure you were on. The meat market and poo is less than desirable. Glad you are having so much fun. I am sure you enjoyed the moto riding.
Have fun & be safe.
Love, Mom
Hey Homes,
No shortage of entertainment there. I have a feeling that you, Mike, and Patty all together is not a good combo. One may never know, or remember, all the crazy things that could happen between you three.
Red man looks like he definitely had a bad day. Was that human sewage that he stepped in? What a lucky man.
At first glance the meat market looked like it was an amusement park. I guess it could be an amusement park but in all of the wrong ways. That is great that you can buy food there and take it to a restaurant for them to prepare it for you.
Did you get to see much of the under groud river? It looked like it was all black in there.
Any falls on the bike.
The hike definitely looked like you would be taking a beating, no matter what kind of shape you are in.
I'm sure the kind Philippinos do not mind if you handle the maters, but remember the U.S. is not so found of that. You just never know where someones hands or feet have been.
Have fun in Dumigetti (sp?)!!!!
Yo Bro, you are having way to much fun. Don't forget to come back !!!! Sorry I missed your call the other day. Try again some time.
Picture! Picture! LOL!
